When I first started my fitness journey, we were months into the pandemic and I was at a low point, both in terms of diet and exercise. I had gained weight to the point where I had weighed the most I ever had in my life, and fully exhibited the “skinny fat” physique. This made me feel lethargic, nonathletic and most of all, unhealthy.
This is why I knew it was important to do what I could to change my routine and hire a coach. I looked to Zach not only because he was close to where I lived, but because he had received high marks on reviews from his other clients. Simply put: Their reviews were right.
Once Zach and I started working together, he established a routine for how I would go about losing weight and gaining strength. Not only in terms of how many days a week I would work out, but what workouts and stretches I would do in each session. He helped outline a workout schedule I could plan my everyday life around.
Almost two years into this, I feel much better today than I did when I first started. I’m down about 25 pounds and have gained strength, as well as mastered form on many key exercises.
Having lost weight and gained strength, I feel much more confident in my ability to change my body for the better. I believe in my ability to alter my diet and stay consistent in the gym, even when I’m having off days. I have a great sense of what types of foods are healthy for me, and which ones are not.
Zach is a pleasure to work with. He tailors his workout program around one’s health goals, and takes steps to achieve that. He’s approachable, adjusts to his clients when they want a new approach and is easy going in each session. He doesn’t make each feel like a workout, but more like hanging out with a friend. By being conversational between sets and exercises, time flies and even when hard work is achieved, it feels fun the entire way.
I’d highly recommend working with Zach for anyone looking to change their health habits for the better. It’s worked for me and I continue to reap the rewards from our time together.
