I found Zach online after searching for a personal trainer to help me learn the basics of weightlifting and mobility. From our initial conversation, Zach was super responsive and it was clear he works with clients holistically and thoughtfully, rather than a lot of trainers who are purely focused on aesthetics or “getting you jacked.” I appreciated that he offered a free session to understand his style and approach, as well as generally get to know him.
I did 12 sessions with Zach and would highly recommend him to anyone — beginner, advanced, recovering from injury, man or woman, etc. During sessions, Zach is supportive and encouraging, friendly and easy to get along with, explains the “why” behind exercises, and most importantly tailors a specific plan for YOU. Zach built a plan that worked for me based on what I had available in my gym, what exercises I could / couldn’t do, my preferences, etc. After a few sessions, when I wanted to change things up, he was able to respond and help me progress to new exercises.
Outside of the gym, Zach was an excellent communicator (responsive, reliable, trustworthy, professional) and goes out of his way to provide resources (workout sheets with substitution options, example videos, etc.). This was particularly helpful for me, as I was ideally looking for someone to just tell me what to do and take the mental burden of a gym routine off my shoulders.
Zach really cares about his clients and it’s clear he views it as a partnership rather than a transactional exchange, which was refreshing!
