Simply put: Zach is the real deal. Whether you are a beginner or not he will always have something to contribute to your own goals and knowledge. The first thing that immediately caught my attention was Zach’s ability to listen and apply your goals to the program that he designs for you. In my experience, most trainers conform to what works best for them, but Zach’s vast knowledge and resources make it easy to apply a workout/diet program that is best suited for you while aligning with your goals. Personally, I started my journey with Zach by transforming my diet and going through various stages of developing and learning how to pick the right kinds of foods and what to avoid. Through this initial process, I was able to learn a lot, and Zach makes this incredibly easy by providing resources that help to make the intricacies of dieting easy to understand. In the beginning, I started with tracking macros to really understand the numbers behind what I ate. I know for many, this process is time-consuming and a bit annoying, but that is only temporary. Zach’s strategy allows you to eventually learn how to identify certain foods and portions sizes without having to track macros. I found that when I reached this stage, eating healthy didn’t include the stress of tracking macros. With Zach’s guidance, I became able to know which foods were good and bad and how much to eat based on my own goals. Most importantly when it comes to dieting, Zach makes it clear that perfection is not practical. Not only do I find myself more knowledgeable in what I eat today, but also more comfortable. More recently I began engaging with Zach through in-person workouts at the gym. Zach began by asking me about my life, how much time I have, what I want to accomplish with these workouts, and what my long-term goals were. I found this to be one of the most significant aspects in regards to my experience with Zach. His ability to cater a workout program that works with, and doesn’t disrupt, your daily routine made my experience with him that much better. I feel as though some worry about the impact that a new routine (such as working out) can do on one’s life, but Zach is all about finding ways to circumvent those worries and propose a plan that works best for you. Going to the gym before was often very stressful for me because I was clueless as to what I should do, how often, and to what intensity. Today, with Zach’s help I feel more confident every time I step into the gym and I attribute that to my time spent with Zach learning and engaging in our workout plan. Another aspect I would like to touch on is Zach’s communication. Personally, when it comes to having a trainer, communication is very important to me. I ask a lot of questions, and Zach, despite how many I ask, is very good at addressing every one of them. In addition, Zach’s knowledge shows, and when certain workouts are introduced he ensures that you understand and know the reasons for why he chooses a workout. Training with Zach also isn’t just about talking about diet or workouts. Engaging with him about topics other than the gym or dieting is very easy and adds a level of comfort to training with Zach. I think this is important because many high-level trainers may come off as intimidating or serious, but Zach gives the best of both worlds. He provides a high-quality service with a comfortable atmosphere. A final note I want to leave is that if you intend to work with Zach know that he is tough but fair and understanding. Zach knew when and how much to push and challenge me without going too far. There are times where I felt as though I couldn’t do another rep, but Zach pushed me and helped show me how much farther I can go. I really do appreciate moments like that because it shows how well Zach gets to know you and how that knowledge helps you learn more about your own abilities and self. Zach is committed to your success and as long as you are too, your experience will be an amazing one.
